This game is the current game I am working on. It will be a semi-open world roguelike game, focusing on weapons, combat and exploring the world. We you must run around a world brought to destruction by the big bad, jumping from island to island to kill him and his protectors.
This game will be put onto steam, having a steam page in the next couple of months.
A couple interesting things about the game!
The world uses perlin noise, to create natural and varied worlds. And it then uses multimesh batching to optimise the tiles.
Decorations and world structures are also added in the procedural generation
I have a strange obsession with ducks, so it's good to finally be able to use one for a biggers projects protagonist. The image above is some of the characters original drafts
I am taking more advantage of shaders for this project. My favourite uses are: The fog surrounding the hub, the tiles getting darker the lower down they are and the outline for the player being visible behind walls.
